The development of microheterogeneous materials has been enforced in the past two decades with the main aim being an improvement in the weight-strength ratio of engineering structures. Additionally, multiphysics applications have seen increasing attention lately. An example for the latter is thermal managment where the mechanical and the thermal properties of the material are optimized in a coupled procecdure.
